Eye checkup camp, Day 1

Yesterday (Monday) saw the first of a series of eye checkup camps that Mumbai Smiles has organised this week in different locations of our projects. These camps have been made possible thanks to the dedicated and generous team of doctors and technicians from Barraquer Foundation in Spain.

The eye checkup camp was held at the Mumbai Smiles office in Marol, Andheri (E) and started at about 3pm and went on for a couple of hours.

Yesterday's camp in the office was meant for Mumbai Smiles staff as well as some beneficiaries, and their families. This included not just the office staff, but people in the field as well, including balwadi teachers and coordinators. Many of the beneficiaries, including Future Smiles students, also got free checkups done.

The total number of people checked yesterday -- 74

Today is the second eye checkup camp, which is being held at Yashodhan School from 10am to 4pm. You'll be sure to get the updates right here tomorrow.
